Spring Break Exhaustion

Spring Break starts today and I'm already tired. No doubt Oscar Wilde or some other wit observed that one is never more tired than when on vacation, but I'm so tired that I can't even manage to look this up on Google. I was chatting with someone yesterday (an event so rare that I must make note of it), and confessed that, on a teaching day, I drink the equivalent of 3 pots of coffee. I must have put the pieces together somewhere in my unconscious, but confessing my coffee habit aloud made me aware of how perverse, even freakish it must be. So it's no wonder I'm feeling so tired this morning: I've only had one pot of coffee so far!! (Synchronize your watches, the time is: 9:58 a.m.) So perhaps I should cut back on the caffeine consumption; or, alternatively, perhaps it's time for me to brew another pot. In any event, once the fatigue wears off, I'm not quite sure what Spring Break holds for me, since my voyage to San Francisco has been temporarily aborted: at the very least, I wish to catch up on some museum shows (I still feel bad that I missed the John Currin exhibit at the Whitney), and have a goodly number of midterms and papers to grade. Plus, in homage to the "Friday cat" feature that used to be a staple on Calpundit, I want to adopt an object or artifact to photograph on a regular basis, as part of a weekly Sutro Park-ian feature, but haven't decided what this object might be yet: candidates to be auditioned this weekend.
